Local Well Established General Painting & Small Remodeling Contractor is looking for Experienced Lead Painters and Painters Helpers. Min of 3+ Verifiable years of Residential & Commercial Painting Experience for the Lead Painter positions. Minimum of 1+ year for the Painter's Helper's positions. Some Carpentry skills are a huge plus. Decks, Fences, Dry Rot Repair, Drywall, Patching, Taping & Texturing helpful. Must have valid ODL with Reliable Trans, Must be Dependable. Responsibilities
  • Apply paint to surfaces including walls, floors, doors, cabinets, ceilings, and millwork
  • Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes
  • Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting
  • Clean walls to ensure proper adherence
  • Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection
  • Calculate accurate amounts of required materials to complete all projects
  • Properly fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives
  • Erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; moves furniture and equipment as necessary
  • Carry and climb ladders up to 40'
  • Use proper safety techniques at all times
  • Exercise proper use of safety equipment
  • Proper use of protective clothing (i.e. respirator, spray sock, coveralls, etc.)
  • Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting
  • Apply several coats in accordance to all paint manufacturers instructions
  • Tape off areas when needed using paper, plastic film or other approved methods
  • Apply touch-ups or second coats
  • Remove paint splatters when finished
  • Clean up all equipment, including brushes, Roller frames, and spray pumps/guns
  • Utilize appropriate tools as applicable for the job (i.e. spray guns, rollers, brushes, etc.)
  • Work on ladders or scaffolding to reach high ceilings,walls,fascia board.eves & gutters
  • Carry buckets of paint weighing up to 70 lbs
  • Standing, kneeling, squatting for extended periods of time
